St. Stanislaus R.C. Church
Founded in 1912, the parish marked its centennial on June 23, 2012, with a mass celebrated by Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

Pine Island Park
Featuring the country’s only onion play-structure, this recently rebuilt park has a climbable, spinning pumpkin, a barnyard-themed climbing structure, a sway glider that can accommodate two wheelchairs, swings, including some made for those differently abled, a pirate ship with gangplank and slide. This 4.8 acre park also has: baseball field, basketball court, beach volleyball court, two tennis courts, fitness stations, pavillion.

Liberty Loop Trail
The 2.5-mile Liberty Loop Trail was created on a former sod farm. The trail provides an excellent opportunity to observe a wide variety of waterfowl, shorebirds and wading birds, as well songbirds along the edges of the trail in spring, summer and fall. In winter, the Liberty Loop is one of northern NJ and southern NY’s best locations for raptors such as Northern Harrier, Rough-legged Hawk and Short-eared Owls. Parking area is located on the south side of Oil City Road.

Pine Island is part of the Blue Ribbon Warwick Valley Central School District. Elementary children attend the Sandfordville Elementary School which is the newest school in the district.
Sanfordville is also the home of the PIE Educational program.
